Cuckoo Brow Inn is located in the beautiful Cumbrian village of Far Sawrey and is nestled in a beautiful part of the Lake District National Park just a short drive from Ambleside and Windermere. We provide guests with comfortable and relaxing guest accommodation as well as a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in our bar and restaurant. We serve real ales and good food in front of our log fires, giving you a wonderfully cosy place to relax no matter the time of day.
All of the guest rooms have been furnished and decorated to a high standard. The en suite bathrooms have powerful showers and deep baths while the bedrooms have flat-screen TVs and comfy super king-size beds. Dogs are welcome to stay and are allowed in all public areas provided they are well behaved and on the lead.
A delicious buffet breakfast of cereals, pastries, fruit, juices and yoghurts is served each morning followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice, ranging from a full hearty Cumbrian breakfast or a lighter Eggs Hemingway. Food is available all day in the bar and restaurant and is traditionally cooked and hearty.
Our ales are sourced from local breweries, we use the famous Coniston Brewery to give our guests the ever-popular Coniston Blue Bird, we have the award-winning Loweswater Gold supplied from Cumbrian Legendary Ales just across the water in Hawkshead and we regularly change our third pump for other local brewers.
We are lucky to be located in such a beautiful area with many enjoyable walks with stunning views nearby. We look forward to welcoming all guests no matter how long or short your stay, be it a night, a weekend, a week or even just for lunch! Numerous walks go by and start from the front door or there are many other local attractions in the area that all the family will enjoy.
