Are you ready to continue your journal writing experience? Or are you just beginning to write in a journal? Keeping a journal does not need to be expensive. A plain spiral notebook is a great way to start your writing journey. If you are looking for inspiration, check out the following journal writing prompts for June.

  1. How did May go for you, your family, your friends, or your work? Go into detail.
  2. What are you hoping to accomplish this month? Make a list of 10 things.
  3. What do you love about your life right now?
  4. What areas of your life need improvement? Why?
  5. What is your biggest fear or concern in your life right now? Why?
  6. What do I do just for myself? Self-care is essential.
  7. What is your biggest failure so far this year? What did you learn from your mistake? How do you plan to improve?
  8. If you were to describe yourself and your life to a stranger, what would you say?
  9. How would your friends or family member describe you to a stranger?
  10. What made you laugh today?
  11. Write about the last time you cried. What was the situation? How did you make yourself feel better?
  12. Who is the one person you can always count on? Describe the person.
  13. What do you miss about your childhood? Write about your favorite memory.
  14. How have recent events affected your outlook on life?
  15. Write about the best part of your day.
  16. How would you describe your religious or spiritual beliefs?
  17. Write about a secret that only you know.
  18. How do you handle stress? Do you need to make improvements?
  19. Happy Father's Day! Write about your father or father figure in your life.
  20. What piece of advice would you give to your younger self? Or to your older self?
  21. Happy First Day of Summer! How did you spend your day? What are you looking forward to this summer?
  22. What is one thing you can do to improve your health? Go into detail on how to achieve this goal.
  23. What public figure inspires you the most? The person can be living or deceased.
  24. What change would you like to see in your community, state, or the world?
  25. Free write for 20 minutes. Write anything that comes to mind.
  26. If you could travel to any state or county, where would you go? Why?  
  27. What are you hoping to accomplish in the remaining 6 months of 2022? Make a list.
  28. Write goals for the next 6 months, a year, and 5 years.
  29. Write about your highs for the month.
  30. Write about your lows for the month.
