The first was from the lovely town of Alesund. It was almost totally destroyed by fire in 1904 and was rebuilt over the next 3 years in the art noveau style . Later we joined Emma as the Hurtigruten ferry cruised along the coast. It was much greener than when we were there in November but still amazingly stunning and beautiful.
