This is in response to Sammi Cox's Weekend Writing Prompt #269 where the given word is VARIATION and the word count is 67.

I seem to have become attached to acrostics for Sammi's challenge. Not a problem, but it is sometimes difficult to get away from a format that looks somewhat akin to a report for a school homework project! No doubt I shall attain a D minus with a comment of "Could do better."

Very often a slight alteration is all it takes.

Any change can make a world of difference.

Researchers will seldom commit their postulations to absolutes,

Insisting that there is

Always a variation of plus or minus X percent.

The greater the risk of error, the higher X becomes.

It is fortunate that in the case of the

Omicron research, world scientists came so very

Near to zero!
