The Fosters: Maggie and Morgan, 5 days old

At five days old, the kittens are doing well. At first Maggie (calico) was pushing Morgan out of the way for feeding, even though there are six teats and two kittens. But by day 2 Morgan decided that was not acceptable and started fighting for space, and she (I think she is a she) is now gaining weight at a good pace. Maggie is still huge, and weighs over 200 grams, while Morgan is about 140 grams, but they are doing well. Starting to wobble around a little bit, but not far or for long before they head back to sleep. Molly continues to be a good mommy, but she is also enjoying some time on her own outside the kitten den and she's even playing with toys now. I'm afraid this all gets pretty boring for momma cats, who are stuck with inert little kittens for a few weeks, but that's kinda the way it goes for now. When the Creamsicles and Bobby clear out from the other room....maybe by the end of the month with some luck...Molly and babies can have the bigger room with more cat trees and fun stuff. Maggie and Morgan will be around 4-5 weeks by then and pretty mobile and ready to rock and roll. For now, they are cute and pretty boring, but that's exactly what they should be at five days old.
