Canal Cruising is a family run holiday company based at Stone in Staffordshire. For over 75 years we have provided a way for you to explore England and Wales, the best part – Your four legged friend is very welcome to enjoy the holiday with you too!
Canal holidays are popular with all the family; it allows you to spend quality time together with the enjoyment of having ever-changing scenery. Whether you are looking for a short break or a long stay, we are here and happy to discuss your holiday and requirements with you. We have the following boats available:
Agnes & Frances – Sleeps up to 4 – 48ft.
Alice Elizabeth – Sleeps up to 4 – 48ft.
Angela – Sleeps 2/3 – 24ft.
Ginette – Sleeps 2/3 – 47ft.
Lillian & Elinor – Sleeps 8 – 70ft.
Lucy & Carey – Sleeps 4 -60ft.
Maria – Sleeps 2 – 48ft.
Martha – Sleeps 6 – 70ft.
Olivia Ginger – Sleeps 6 – 68ft.
Patricia – Sleeps 2/3 – 47ft.
On site facilities include hot/cold water, bathrooms, central heating, beds and equipped kitchens.
Taster days are available and so are one night taster stays. This gives you the opportunity to try life on a canal boat before booking a longer trip. For a taster day trip we suggest you travel south to Sandon, we have to work between turning points and Sandon is a comfortable day return back to Stone. During this route, you can head straight down to Sandon and have lunch at the award winning 'Dog and Doublet' or stop off at the Aston Marina or the Greyhound at Burston.
All the tuition is the same as if you are going on holiday, including boat handling and lock demonstration. We run through our handover sheet and then take you through your first lock, giving you the experience of boat handling between this and the next lock.
