Facebook often features a game that generates some kind of advice or prophecy. Most of it is nonsense … telling you what movie star one looks like or should marry. 🤷‍♀️

Yesterday morning, the game asked what "I" needed in 2024:

Of course, the above result is 💯 great, appropriate, "dead on" most days and most of every year.

For fun, I asked the game to "Try again". It did get funnier:

And it got fairly absurd, "Ann you need a rich new boyfriend." or a husband, or God. I would have continued letting the algorithm come up with silly and random results, but one usually has to suffer through advertisements that are probably generated by one's surfing, searching or online shopping activity.

That's creepy, eh? Sign of the times. It will only get worse with Artificial Intelligence, already developed and developing, where images online might not be real or are unlikely to have happened.

It's creepy and unnerving and not always benign. I'm no conspiracy theorist nor am I unnecessarily paranoid (though my iPhone just filled in paranoid by itself!).

See? Kim's dog Bruce was never there behind this Christmas tree!

At the start of the New Year, I only resolve to downsize more, shop less, watch what I eat, garden more … all the mundane things that together, enhance my life. I'm sure this "resolve" will include seeing more of grandchildren and other family and friends.

So … onward with 2024. If our biggest accomplishment is writing "2024" when we should, it's enough. 'Cause we're still above ground, right?

Love, Ann

Okay, well I DID use a stud finder yesterday. 😉👍 I was hanging shelves and found all the studs.
And THAT is a wrap.

I hope your New Year started with all good things.

Love, Ann
