You are being gently guided to open your arms to play. Fill your arms with the joy of playing and endless possibilities will take flight. Remember how it felt to play with abandon, not worrying about what others will think of you or what you look like. Sinking in to the joyful experience of having fun. Remember how light your heart felt when playing. Remember how much you laughed. Remember how when you swung higher and higher on the swing, you believed you could touch the stars.

Not only does your inner child require regular play time, it is even more vital for the outer adult to have regular play. This is not time spent wastefully, play frees the mind, it unleashes creative problem solving, it lightens your burden, it opens your heart, and it makes you more resilient. There really is nothing better for you than play.

In all things there must be balance. Work is not exempt from balance. Play is the balance for working. Work will be more enjoyable, no matter what your vocation, when you balance it with play. Take you inner child in hand and ask them where they would like to play today.
