Nike was our beloved toy poodle who we also called "My Sweet," "Pookie" and sometimes "Honey." He brought us lots of joy with his unique personality. He was smart and curious and always wanted to be by our side to observe anything we were doing. Whenever we moved his bed from our bedroom to the living room, he would stand in place of where his bed should go until we put it back where it belonged. He made us laugh every time he let us know what HE wanted. He was also very vocal and animated and spoke to us in little sneezes and growls. We often caught Nike looking at himself in the mirror and would laugh to see him give us eye contact through the mirror instead of us directly. Nike loved yoga mats to the point where we had to designate one just for him. He would get out of bed each morning just to walk over to his mat to do his exercise back kicks, like a tiny bull ready to charge. Most of all, we will miss taking care of him, holding him and giving him kisses. We were very lucky to be his humans and to have him in our lives. Our love for our sweet Nike is endless and immeasurable, and we know he loved us just as much too. We will always cherish and hold onto our memories of Nike and miss him everyday. He was truly one of a kind.
