The Pet Hostel population (pup-ulation?) was down to Rocky and Maggie overnight. Sundance was picked up. Today I'll babysit two favourites for just the day: Daizy and Binou.
I am awake early today and let Mica out: I'm achy and not sleepy at all: who cares if I hit the floor running at 5 am? Seriously, though … I'll just start the coffee and chat with you.
Do you know that there is a Facebook Group called, "The Dull Women's Club"? I answered all the questions and it still took days to get accepted.
This annoyed me greatly. If we wanna belong to such a group and we follow the rules, acceptance should be granted. At any rate, I am now able to respond to members' posts and offer my own.
You might imagine, "dullness", in this context, is subjective. Many of us haven't saved the world or even another living soul, but have an abiding sense of fulfillment and optimism anyway.
We can be armchair travellers, philosophers and doctors without actually living an exciting lifestyle. People who claim to be "dull" often just treasure simple things and privacy.
I joined yet another Facebook group named, "Dull Women Cat Owners", and they accepted me immediately. What does that tell you? My first post was:
"I am dull but my four cats are not."

One of our amazing daughters asked me yesterday for the address of her grandparents' former home in Indio, California.
It would be just like me to remember that, and I feel like I can almost recall it, but I can't actually find it!
When I do come across it in old papers from Myrtle, or if I can trick Google into coughing it up, I'll chastise myself. It'll be a eureka moment.
In the meantime, all my searching has plunged me back into nostalgia. I came across a photo of myself from 1983 that I had never seen before.
I showed Gary and he just shrugged and walked away. I had to say it, "I don't ever remember looking like that.". It would've been grand if he had said, "You are still cute …"
Just lie to me! Oh well. π’
I know people whose beauty didn't fade, like my soul sister Shay, for instance.
Some famous people have come out with great quotes about this very thing. They would not want me to feel depressed.
This might be enough random rambling for one blog entry. Thank you for coming here to read.
I hope your day is a good one: pleasantly dull if you want it to be, or exciting if that's what you need. Stay well and strong!
Love, Ann
