We are back at it with another holiday meal kit from Chefs Plate! This time for the Christmas holiday with a Turkey and Apple-Bacon Stuff with Thyme Gravy, and Mini Apple & Pear Tarts with Maple Caramel and Sweet Whipped Cream.
It is similar to the Thanksgiving meal kit using turkey scallopine from Hayter's Farm, but some of the accompaniments are different.
The meal kit prep and cook time are 75 minutes for the turkey recipe and 35 minutes for the tarts. These time are approximate, but based on personal experience, when I am doing multiple recipes, it feels like it takes longer. To save sometime, I recommend washing and prepping any vegetables before hand, and you must read the instructions prior to starting anything.
Prepping anything prior to cooking will help save time!
I received four portions of the kits, which for a household of two was enough for next day's lunch. You can order up to 16 portions of this holiday meal kit.
The Apple-Bacon Stuffing. Dinner is served!
I'll be honest, there was quite a bit to do with this recipe that I wasn't really paying attention to the time, so I ended up burning the beans a bit, and the tarts were overbaked.
Overall, a relatively good holiday recipe. This meal kit is a great option if you don't want to cook a whole turkey dinner. The holidays can be stressful, so why not make one thing less stressed?
Apple & Pear Tarts
