Maggie and Micha took a giant step yesterday....they stepped outside their den and began to explore the world outside. Luckily I had put up my plexiglass enclosure already, sensing that they were about to spring themselves, so they toddled about quite safely. Maggie is nearing four weeks old, and is reasonably sure on her feet. Micha is about 5 days younger and not quite so sure-footed yet, but she's managing. I introduced small toys as well, but so far they are more intimidated than interested in them....that will change. It is quite entertaining to just sit and watch them explore.
So today's blog is just a nice, meditative view of the babies and Molly. Nothing major...just a couple videos that show you how easy it is to waste large chunks of time doing next to nothing, while the babies explore.
In our first video, Micha is happy to submit to Mom Molly's ministrations and to nurse. Maggie, on the other hand, has places to go and things to see!

A little while later, Molly was playing with a toy - a ball in a circular loop that she was batting around. Micha and Maggie weren't quite sure what to make of all of it.

Having kittens is a super easy way to waste large chunks of time, and I'm on vacation for the next week, so I don't even feel guilty about it! I hope you enjoyed meeting the kiddos. Have a great weekend.
