Fig. 1, Table 1: Reported Cases of COVID-19 by World and by UK.

Observations for the World: the number of cases has increased by 30,551,222. The number of deaths has increased by 0.05%. the number of recovered has increased by 1.06%. The number of active cases has fallen by 1.11%.

Observations for the UK: the number of cases has increased by 1,432,057. The number of deaths has decreased by 0.66%. The number of recovered has decreased by 19.52%. The number of active cases has increased by 20.18%.

Fig 1., Table 2: Reported Cases of COVID-19 by Population: World and the UK

Observations for the World: the number of cases has increased by 0.38%. The number of deaths has increased by 0.01%. The number of recovered has increased by 0.37%. The number of active cases has not changed.

Observations for the UK: the number of cases has increased 2.10%. The number of deaths has not changed. The number of recovered has increased by 0.33%. The number of active cases has increased by 1.77%.

Table 3: Reported Cases of COVID-19 by deaths in the World's population

Observations for the World: the number of World deaths has increased by 0.14%. The number of COVID-19 deaths has decreased by 3%.

Conclusion: the statistics appear to suggest very little variance over a 4 month period. It is curious that in the UK an increase in active cases of 20.18% is mirrored by a decrease in the mortality rate by 0.66%.
