Lifton Hall Hotel has been described as one of Devon's most attractive and interesting hotels. The building is Grade II listed and parts of it date back to about 1611. It is brimming with period features, traditional character, however is modern and up to date. We are a friendly owner run hotel and aim to make your stay in Devon as pleasant and relaxing as possible.

We have ten large bedrooms at our pet friendly hotel; each has its own character and charm. There is one twin room, and nine doubles (three of which can accommodate a family/group of up to four). All our rooms have an en suite bath or shower room.

The bar is a great place to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple, whether that be a local ale, soft drink or fine wine. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. In the summer the thick walls keep the bar cool and there are two outside seating areas for those who like to sit in the sun. In the winter the bar is cosy with a log fire and candles burning.

If you fancy something to eat we offer a full menu. Most of our food is made on the premises and freshly prepared, and we always try to source our ingredients from local supplies and growers.

Lifton Village is quiet, but with plenty going-on. You can meander along babbling rivers, across luscious, green countryside or high onto the moors with a short drive. For our doggy guests, there is a large safe playing field within a 10-minute walk. Along with a nice river to cool off in.

Our nearest towns are Launceston and Tavistock, both are worth a visit. Launceston is just over the border into Cornwall and is the county's ancient capital. There is a castle, museum, steam railway and a selection of shops, pubs and cafés. Tavistock is an old stannary town, and has a number of attractions, including a large pannier market and a lovely river to walk along.
