Persian Cats: History, Appearance, Personality

Tabby Persian cats are originally from Iran as early as 1920. Popular folklore says that wizards created the Tabby Persians, that's why they are such a beautiful breed.

But the real history of a Persian Tabby is a series of experiments in creating a series of the beautiful cat breed. Several trials and errors were made. Eventually, a cat with a large body frame, tall, fluffy hair coats, and squishy face emerged after all these trials.

During the 19th century, purebred Persian cats used to breed with Asiatic cats. These breeds are from Afghanistan and Turkey and are also good breeds. The result of this breeding is the Tabby Persian cat.

The term "Tabby" refers to the color pattern of the cat's fur. This cat's most prominent feature is the "M" shaped marking on the forehead. In popular culture, Garfield and Nermal, are classified as Mackerel tabby Persians.
