Up kind of early this morning. I wondered why I couldn't go back to sleep and realized I had gone to bed right at 11, after snoozing in the chair for some time. As seems to be my norm, I had slept through the ending of one episode of a favourite series on my "murder channel" (true crime drama).
So, I was up and dressed, fire stoked, coffee made, dog hugged (Gary too), and it's 6:30. Not that early for some folks.
Yesterday was pretty easy: the main "work" of the day was a small, sweet cat named "Chanel".
The little soul was brushed, nails trimmed, and at the owner's request, bathed. I didn't think of taking a photo while Chanel was in the "tub", but she didn't fight, bite or scratch. She uttered a couple of plaintive mews.
She was a bit unnerved by the dryer, so I gently toweled and brushed her some more. She was happy to walk back into her carrier!
Today I have a 16-year old "grouchy" male cat to groom. Owner reports that he has matts, so I'll help if I can. I have a feeling I've used up some of my cat grooming good luck.
Carley has come back for a few days. Gus and Clemina will go home if I allow them to be picked up after closing time, according to their owners' work schedule.
Carly, one of the easiest regular guests. The thread of dried drool = charming!
