It's the end of another month, and it's safe to say we are well and truly into summer! I'm starting this post whilst surviving the mid-July heatwave - when I say surviving, I mean melting. A lot has happened this month - it started out with my Sister's hen party in Newquay which was a great weekend. We had a couple of nights out and went zorbing in the daytime, which was a lot of fun although I still have some of the bruises!
This month I handed in my notice at work, as I'm relocating to do the same job but at another school down in Devon where my partner works. I'm sad to be leaving the school I'm at, but I'm excited for the new opportunities the new school will bring me.
This month has been great in terms of blog sponsorship, as I've worked with a few brands on some content which I'm really happy with. There is currently a giveaway running with the fabulous JANOLIVE Designs so make sure you enter!
Here are a few of my favourite things from July:
Fashion
There are a couple of dresses I've been living in this month. The first is this green beach dress from Shein. It's such a light material and is perfect for the heat! I've also been loving this little dress from George at Asda. It's a little thicker however I'm pleased to say it's not at all see-through! This is one of the comfiest dresses I've had, although my only criticism is the pocket placements as they are right on my hips so perhaps not the most flattering position.
Music/TV/Theatre
One of my favourite bands, Deaf Havana, have released a new album and I'm obsessed. I'd already heard the singles they'd released, and the album didn't disappoint. It's called 'The present is a foreign land' and you should definitely check it out. Some of my favourites from it are '19dreams' and 'Going Clear'.
This month I was lucky enough to see Les Mis on the stage in Bristol. I've seen it in London before which was amazing, and this performance was just as good. It's one of my favourite musicals so it's always great when I get to go and see it live.
