Canada offers a wide variety of tourist attractions and features as sites. These islands offer a great holiday destination, a cool environment to relax as well as the best way to enjoy your holiday. There are a lot of activities to participate in such as water sports, sunbathing, swimming, beach life, and boat riding among others. So before you go booking that holiday online to Canada you might want to check out these ten islands...

Entry Island

This island is situated in the middle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. All the people who live here are related by blood and go to the same school.

Georges Island

9. Georges Island

This island was used in ancient times by the army to protect the Nova Scotia city. It is popular for its, underground tunnels, quarantine stations and prison camps among others.

Greenly Island

8. Greenly Island

This island is situated in the Gulf of St.Lawrence. The locals on this island believe that there are ghosts on the island and therefore it is not recommended for the faint-hearted.

Pictou Island

One feature worth noticing is that the island does not receive any electricity from the mainland. People on the island depend on solar power and windmills. Even better, the residents still depend on dial-up internet and have a local website that showcases the island's features.

Lennox Island

This island is situated off the coast of the famous Prince Edward islands. It is known for its unwelcoming residents who are commonly referred to as bubble face.

Harrington Harbor

This is a rocky island that can only be accessed by helicopter during the winter. The island hosts about 300 residents and a wide array of features that attract tourists.

Victoria Island

4. Victoria Island

This is one of the largest islands also known as the island of peninsulas. It is spacious and estimated to be about 4 acres.

Sable Island

3. Sable Island

This is located 180 km in the southern part of Nova Scotia. On this island, the numbers of horses actually outnumber the number of people living here. The horses in the island roam freely and they are protected by the Canadian government from any human interference. This island is well known for being home to some of the most unique animal species.

Toronto islands

2. Toronto islands

This is situated a short distance from Canada's biggest city. Toronto Island hosts one of the biggest lighthouses with a hexagonal base which is believed to have been built in the 18th century. According to history the housekeeper, John Paul Rademuller was killed by three drunkards, who threw him from the top of the building and proceeded to cut his dead body into tiny little pieces which he later buried in various locations after the housekeeper refused to serve them beer. It is one of the places you can enjoy nude sunbathing among other activities.

Oak Island

1. Oak Island

This is one of the best islands to visit once you arrive in Canada. It offers a wide range of intriguing historical tourist attraction sites. It is a 140-acre piece of land that is situated on the southern shore of Nova Scotia. According to history the ancient pirates in the 18th century used oak island to bury the priceless treasures which he got from the seven seas.
