Gary's breakfast
Yesterday was another day of, yet another day of, this 'n that:
recycling, garbage, pick up something I'd bought through Facebook, do laundry at "the little house in town", check the mail, get fuel into truck, pick up a prescription, get a tiny 🤏 bit of groceries. Of course, any trip to town entails some shootin' the shit with friends on the street and in almost every store.
Back at home, there is inevitably the "putting away of Christmas. Every year I'm glad that we don't decorate much.
It was a wonderful time with Kim, Shelly and Adrien, and though we did miss the rest of our treasured family members and friends, we were grateful.

One of the first tasks yesterday was to pick up my live trap from the place down the road where the two pets were lost. Despite my best efforts and that of some neighbours, there had been no sightings of the little black cat Martha. This is sad. Still, we were jubilant to have found Frankie, the ginger cat: one is better than none.
I want to say that there is always hope (to find Martha), but it seems unlikely that we will find her. 🤞
Frankie is fine at the Pet Hostel until his grateful owners travel back through our area. I don't know where their home is, and it doesn't matter. If the other cat is found later, we'll keep her safe.

This is not my work … just some creative grooming ~ dog's name is 'Barbie'.
How Yetta usually greets me.
My aging iPad didn't charge overnight. My daughters very generously bought me a new one for Christmas but it hasn't arrived.
So, I will launch this blog post from my iPhone but proofread/edit it on the bigger screen later, if I remember.
Have a good day!
Love, Ann
