That's a wrap.
Last night we had our Easter dinner in an unusual style. Although I'm capable of putting on a more traditional "spread", I chose to offer some of my favourite foods, including a small turkey.
Dessert was simply pumpkin tarts with whipped cream and/or candied eggs.
There were only seven of us; we made a dent in the whole and I think everyone got enough. Some of us made our own turkey sandwich to go with the hors d'oerves.
I have fond memories of my dad preferring turkey sandwiches over fancier feasts, probably to Myrtle's frustration.
The evening was too soon over, with young Montana and Colton moving on to another party, Zev needing to check on new calves at his farm, and the rest of us nodding off at 9 pm.
And though I sometimes miss the pet business as it was, I was glad there were only three dog boarders to tuck in.
Today I will need to spend some time putting dishes away, but it'll be a relaxed Sunday. Will putter and clean at my own pace.
I hope you are well and strong, with enough to eat and time to rest. If not, I hope things get better.
Love, Ann
