My daughter has some food sensitivities and decided to go on the AIP diet.
That's the Autoimmune Protocol diet.
And so, my wife and I are going on it, too. Sort of.
I'm an omnivore. And I don't have any food sensitivities that I'm aware of.
So, I'm going to cheat.
But I'll cook the meals and follow the AIP regimen for the communal eating.
From a quick glance, it looks like the Paleo Diet. Or Keto diet. Just a bit more restrictive.
Sigh.
It throws a bit of a monkey wrench into spontaneous meals. You have to think twice before whipping up something you have a hankering for.
Tacos? Do we have lettuce that we can use as a wrap, instead of the taco shells?
Pasta? Nope. No pasta and no tomato sauce.
Pho? Nope. Unless you want to use zucchini noodles… It might be on the horizon of things to try…
But it might contribute to some weight loss since complex carbs are out.
Maybe I'll end up going full on AIP??
