Yesterday was busy enough to suit me. I was a bit distracted by my shoulder pain, but glad to have had a better night's sleep.
Casey came for day care and spa treatment. I am lucky that Casey will hop up onto the electric grooming table on command.
Then I can raise the table and dog to comfortable working height, ask her to step into the doggy bathtub and back out onto the table. At no point do I need to lift her.
For many dogs in my past career, this way of grooming is more good planning than luck. However, I have been extremely lucky with the sweetness and biddable nature of almost every dog in my care.
I went back to cleaning in the kennel building, sorting stuff and doing some more "crafty things". All the while I was listening to an 'Audible' book: 'The House We Grew Up In', which is a story about a family's upbringing in the home of a hoarder. 😬
I'll get back to you with a book report.
In the afternoon, Mica and I went in the truck to the transfer station and swap shed. I had coffee at Fran's and had a number of nice visits and friendly greetings.
Back at home, I broadcast some grass seed where the kennels used to stand. I dug out a cypress tree that was in the same area: it looks like it might be dying. I'll relocate the tree and try to save it, but in the meanwhile, it will be out of the way of my treasured lawnmower man. 😉👍
