Yesterday morning, Mica and I took some stuff to the recycling, then delivered flowers to Welcome Home.
I truly enjoy Fran's breakfast sandwich, the "Miggy", named for her daughter's nickname. So I asked for one of those to go, with regular coffee. I was not allowed to pay because I had brought the bouquet!
Next time I'll hide my token gift in the vehicle until I pay, as I'm quite above expecting free meals, drinks or snacks.
I worked a bit on the boxes, but mostly I was "chasing the pain" in my shoulder. I'm certain that this is only a pulled ligament or some such, but I felt miserable.
So, after a soak in the hot tub, more painkillers and some rest, I was surprised that I felt okay again by 5.
Friends had a family emergency and I offered to babysit an aging dog belonging to their elderly parent. Retired or closed or not, there are just some things one does for others when possible.
We have spread grass seed over the bare patches. We have lots of water, but the rains came down most of the afternoon too… good for sprouting new lawn.
Flurry watches my every move from her highest perch.
Not my cat or flower bed. You've got to love your pet more than the plants. 🤷🏼♀️
You know I live a charmed, charmed life
I look out to my left and I look to my right
It's simple but in front of me, in back of me
Is nothing more than ecstasy
A charmed, charmed life
When I woke up this morning, I was relieved that my left shoulder is markedly better. At least I can lift my coffee cup, usually parked on the left side of me at the recliner. 👌 yay
Same plans for the day as for most days … some pet and chicken care (and maybe making meals for we humans 💕), working on the craft du jour and ordinary home and yard maintenance. There are some bigger projects looming, such as cleaning the hen house. 🤷🏼♀️
Hope your day goes well and that you are healthy-ish and safe.
Love, Ann
