Overall I enjoyed the series. The story kept me interested and how the characters carried out their own stories was fascinating, as was the range of characters and what they had to go through and how it all challenged their perceptions of the world. I think The Ghoul was the most interesting in that we got his backstory and of all the questions left unanswered I think his are the ones that I'm most keen on discovering the answers for. That's not to say the other main characters haven't left me curious about them, just the Ghoul gripped me the most. I also, finally, watched the two Terrifier movies. These were a pleasant surprise. A lot of people in the horror community had raved about them, which sometimes makes me worried it gets too hyped up, but that wasn't the case with Terrifier. It balanced its brutal gore with interesting characters and some moments that had me laughing out loud. It definitely scratched my gore itch. ![](https://petergermany.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/img_0010.jpg?w=560) I've also watched Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trial. I know a fair bit about that time in our history but there was a lot I didn't, and a fair bit of footage I've not seen before, particularly of the holocaust. That was grounding in a way, the whole program was to be honest. It was a reminder of what horrors those living in that time had to endure. I remember my grandad talking about it, he spent most of his war in the pacific theatre, and later served in Burma. He rarely talked about the horrors of it but he did see a concentration camp, and I'll never forget the look in his eyes. He never said more than that, that he saw one. But he didn't need to say more. That look in his eyes was enough. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
