After my second cup of coffee early today, I went out to the car to see if the wireless charging pad on the console would work. To us, it's like a magic feature whereby you just toss your iPhone on a little shelf and it charges.
Somewhere in our Googling and button-pressing, the advice was to make sure the "system" was updated. Everything else works on the tiny computer: Navigation, Music, hands-free messaging and more. But the system refuses to update and the touchless charger won't work at this time. 😠
After giving up on the car's computer pad, I came back out to just sit again. I'm waiting for the pelicans to show up: there are fish jumping close by.
Between 6 am and 8 am, the temperature outside has risen sharply. Gary's up and declares that it'll be a scorcher. His friends and relatives here have thanked us for bringing heat from British Columbia! 😀👍🔥
He also declared that it was breakfast time, and I asked, "What are you making?" 😉

I didn't show you my acquisitions from Sunday:
These weren't cheap, but I told myself that the older box contains lots of y'know … cutlery. The other one has already been cleaned up and decorated by a crafter in Arnes, Manitoba, and therefore has its own added value.
We need to support Farmers Markets everywhere. I've been on the other side of the table, so to speak.
Believe it or not, our friends at dinner last night mentioned "flatware chests and silverware" in the context of their impending move and of inheriting stuff. I expressed some excitement, and was promised a box sooner or later. 😀👍
Just another raven
I spent a few minutes "beachcombing". Some people have higher standards, but I found keepsakes that I like.
Nothing pictured above is "protected" or endangered, and I picked up garbage while I looked.

I walked downtown in mid morning. I didn't get lost, but I did walk about two blocks in the wrong direction, therefore took a rather circuitous route. I figured out the street and avenue directions and visited the thrift store again.
I was a bit tired by noon, finished "thrifting", and contacted both Beth and Gary at home base. Gary gave his other two ladies a ride to where I was, I handed over my weighty packages, and he went home for a nap.
We visited the big dollar store, a museum, also a Thai restaurant for a drink. Then a storm set in in earnest.
Invisible in this photo, some folks
stayed swimming during the storm!
Gary offered to pick us up and we didn't need to walk far in the rain.
It has been so much fun to reconnect with Beth and Juno. ❤️❤️
Hope your day has been fine and dandy.
Love, Ann
One of our little beauties!
