I said last month that I was noticing a pattern with my daily posting.
How I start off the month strong but then stumble around mid-month.
And then spend the rest of the month trying to catch up.
This month, the stumble began at the beginning and I'm no where near catching up.
The thoughts of giving up this crazy goal surface again. It's hard, man.
The original goal was to write daily for a year.
That changed to writing 365 posts within a year.
It allows for missed days.
But you can't have too many missed days or the target will move too far.
I must remind myself that setting a goal isn't always about meeting the goal. Of reaching the target.
Setting a goal is about working to transform yourself. Transforming into the type of person capable of reaching those goals.
I must remind myself that I've already pushed myself further than I've gone before.
This year, I've written 242 blog posts! For me, that's crazy!
That's almost as many posts as I've written in the previous thirteen years put together.
Stop focusing on the stumbles.
Stop looking for reasons to give up.
Keep looking at the big picture.
Keep moving forward.
Take one day at a time.
Take one step at a time.
Your goals don't need to be reached. But they must be pursued!
