Yesterday, as some of you know, I accompanied Gary to Prince George. He had a routine dental appointment.
I tried not to have any agenda of "my own" but secretly wondered if I'd have time for even one thrift store, a dollar store or Costco.
It was not to be, and it wasn't Gary's fault. 🥰
After I dropped him off at the clinic, I drove halfway across town to the hot tub store and bought specific items for our make and model. I got some advice about keeping the chemistry of the spa in perfect balance for hygiene and health and safe operation. I stocked up on the basics for when we change the water.
It's just a tiny bit unnerving that the technician/sales rep can tell from an online app exactly what is the chemistry (eg. pH) of our hot tub, when it turns itself on and off, and what temperature it is set at, and more. 🤷🏼♀️ But that all leads to good advice and service over years of use.
Not ours, but same model.
After I left the hot tub place, I went to the Honda dealer to get the "wireless charging pad" replaced in the console of the car. It is one of our favourite features of the vehicle: one only has to toss one's cell phone onto a little shelf on the console, and it charges. Magical!
Something like this
I had an appointment, or rather, our Honda did, and I was early but they waved me in. The service was done and I drove back to the dental office, arriving just as Gary was done also!
So we had a "lunch date" and left the city by 2 o'clock. Gary might have consented to me shopping if it was important to me, but I could see that he'd had enough of a day already.
I drove the last half of the way home. I'm afraid I ran over a sweet little mouse on the highway. 😢
Other than that, it was a good and efficient day. Mica acted like we had abandoned her for a week, but soon was napping at our feet again.
It was actually 6 hours of driving and three hours of appointment, errands and eating. Oh well, this is where we live. 😀👍
Also in Prince George, I'm scheduled for an ultrasound on my shoulder on Thursday. I plan to go early and shop: I have a list and can do at least part of it. Stocking up at Costco has taken on some importance!
And remember about the cutlery boxes? I might have enough. If I have time, I'll still visit the Hospice or Salvation Army Stores, but I have done a great job of filling up spaces for which I wanted boxes.
If I find something nicer than one or another that I have, I'll make room or "trade up". Make sense?

Today I have various tasks waiting, but also have been invited for tea. A friend will pick up garlic later.
Hope your day is productive or restful or both!
