In Scotland, we never get the government we vote for. The government that England votes for is imposed on us. This projection shows a Reform UK English government being imposed on Scotland despite Scotland returning not a single Reform UK MP. This is British demockracy! The real tragedy, however, is that none of Scotland's political parties is proposing to end this horrendous situation. None of them has a plan to end the Union. None of them has a clue how to restore Scotland's independence. None of them is prepared to act. Only the #ScottishUDI plan and the Manifesto for Independence offers a way to get Scotland out of this accursed Union within the term of the next Scottish Parliament. Yet fewer than 800 people have signed the Manifesto for Independence Petition. The 2026 Scottish Parliament election may be our last chance to escape the horror show that is the UK. As things stand, that opportunity is set to be squandered. The nominally pro-independence parties are entirely focused on electoral success and the rewards this entails. The independence movement is broken and scattered, running up dead-end alleys or pursuing a multitude of fantasies and fallacies. There is only one route out of this Union. We either get on this route now, or the beautiful dream might as well be dead for all the chance there will be of realising it. Take back our government! Take back our parliament!
