What? It's Thursday?

Yesterday was not as chaotic as Tuesday: both well under control, but Wednesday was certainly not as tiring.

As planned, my main work of the day was just one grooming appointment. Tiny Buffy is sweet and cooperative, except a bit of fuss for nails. I outmaneuver her. 😉🐾 Nothing would make me love her any less.

This wee darling came just for nails, she's fidgety but not bitey. 😉👍

I was asked to groom Sadie a little while she stayed with us. As hyper as she is as a guest, she is quiet and cooperative for grooming. I didn't get an "after" photo … but I do aim to maintain her tousled look. Tidied but tousled? 😂

I'll give Darby a bath tomorrow and trim nails before she goes home.
Sam is up to his usual tricks. I tuck him in at night, and in the morning I find him outdoors, rain or shine or freezing temperatures. Some night, he could pick a path through the wrong dog's kennel: he's leaving the building over the six foot fences and through doggy doors.
He is rolling around on top of the cat treats and catnip I put on the table! Rainwater rinsed, he has his own tousled look.

I'm drinking coffee and chatting, and the fire is stoked. I'm looking forward to the day, with not too heavy a schedule … unless I've forgotten something.

Down to a "dull roar" again at the Pet Hostel, we have Brutus, Carly, Remi & Bella, and Darby. Brutus and Darby go home, others will come for the weekend.

Our indoor kennels are completely booked for Christmas. I'm dreading the last-minute requests, and truly folks can't help it: their plans weren't firm, or there's an emergency or they simply forgot to phone. For 37 years I've helped, often with almost no notice at all, but there's a limit. There's less limit and more room (with shelter) outdoors, so I hope for decent weather for the rest of the month. Gary will help me.

I wish I had built a bigger boarding kennel, but it's kind of late now.

Best wishes for an awesome day. I hope your health is maintaining, and happiness too.

Love, Ann

Sandra James is out walking daily while I'm still drinking coffee or snoring. This is the heritage Koeneman Park, near us.
Friends who owned "The Swiss Bakery" in Valemount have moved across Canada to Newfoundland. This is Bogden W.'s view while he bakes for family and friends at the Atlantic coast.
Fourth night of Hanukkah. Say what you like about Amazon, they really came through again with my last minute order for candles.
Though it doesn't photograph well, this is the big batch of pasta sauce I made yesterday. It's a "Rootitoot" instantpot recipe; I find it almost addictive. Might be the red wine in it. 😉😋
