Balloan Steading offers outstanding self-catering accommodation in Dornoch. Based in an idyllic countryside setting in Sutherland, we are a haven for relaxation and tranquillity.
Our spacious and beautiful furnished property is great for families or groups looking for the ultimate countryside retreat. The house can also be booked with Balloan Steading East which is next door and includes 4 super-king/twin bedrooms with en suites.
This fabulous house has a wonderful open-plan living space which includes a toasty wood burner and boasts breathtaking views over the countryside and Dornoch Firth. You can catch your favourite show on the smart TV or rustle up some delicious food in the well-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Enjoy some fantastic home-cooked food in the dining area which seats 10. On the ground floor, there is also a utility room.
On the first floor, there is 3 zip and link super-king bedrooms which can be made into twins on request. All the bedrooms include a smart TV and modern en suite facilities. A further zip and link super king-size bedroom with en suite facilities are on the ground floor. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside there is garden furniture, ideal for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine whilst savouring the views.
We are in one of the best locations for discovering the amazing coastline of Caithness and Sutherland. Only 3 minutes drive away from the entre of Dornoch are lots of great pubs and restaurants, plus gorgeous beaches and the famous golf course at Royal Dornoch.
