  • Food Stamps and Min Wage - It seems to me that one who is working full time ought to be paid enough to not qualify for food stamps, else the government is footing the bill. I just found out that minimum wage doesn't cover this. Minimum wage is subsidized by taxpayers.
  • Free Knowledge - It seems that, ideally, knowledge should be free. It's a nonexcludable good with positive externalities, and we have technology that can replicate it (ie, you don't need a teacher, you can use the internet). The only input is the effort required to learn.
  • Legitimate Knowledge - Something that follows from the above is the question of how do we legitimize those who have learned (ie, accreditation). Also, how do we ensure that the knowledge we get itself is legitimate, if it is to be facilitated by the internet. A sticky problem.
