I know, I know, it's another tag post. But I saw this on Lisa's blog (read her post here) I just couldn't resist it. As a lot of you may know I LOVE Harry Potter, so this tag is just perfect for me, no?
I first got into the Harry Potter series when I was pretty young. It was such a huge phenomenon and I remember my Dad used to queue up at WHSmiths or Waterstones to buy each new book for my mum as they came out. I was slightly too young to see the first few films in the cinema, and I didn't read the books myself until I was a little older. My mum used to read the books aloud to us in the evenings and I have memories of her even reading it out loud poolside on holiday.
Now I'm kind of feeling like the worlds worst fan, I had never been onto the Wizarding World website until now. On here you can find out your house, Patronus and what wand you'd have, which is really cool.
So without further ado, let's get into today's post!
1. What House Are You In?
I'm in Hufflepuff! Looking at the typical personality traits of this house, I'd have to agree.
Good Personality Traits
Bad Personality Traits
Humble
Too trusting
Intelligent
Lack self-confidence
Loyal
Fear conflict
Selfless
Think others are like them
Kind
Pushovers
2. What Is Your Patronus?
This is an interesting one, because when you have to answer questions to find out what your Patronus is, there is nothing to do with animals on there so there is no way to sway the result. I had a gut feeling mine would be some sort of feline, as of course I'm a major cat lover. And what do you know? My Patronus is a Manx Cat!
The Manx cat is a breed of domestic cat (Felis catus) originating on the Isle of Man, with a naturally occurring mutation that shortens the tail.
3. What Is Your Wand?
Maple wood with a phoenix feather core, 10 ¾" and rigid flexibility.
4. What Would Your Boggart Be?
Somebody with a gas mask on. Ever since I was young, I have been terrified of gas masks and even to this day they freak me out! (I think it was that Dr Who episode that did it).
5. What Position Would You Play In Quidditch?
Spectator? I'm not a sports person so I don't think I'd be actively involved with playing Quidditch.
6. Would You Be a Pure-blood, Half-blood or Muggle Born?
I'm half & half. Me Dad's a muggle, Mum's a witch. If you know you know.
7. What Job Would You Want To Have After Leaving Hogwarts?
I'd love to work in the magical creatures field. Maybe run a magical zoo?
Invisibility cloak - it's the one that doesn't end up killing you!
9. Favourite Book?
The Goblet Of Fire. I think this is the book that gives the most details that are left out of the film, like Hermione setting up SPEW and more backstory into Winky the House-elf.
10. Least Favourite Book?
The Prisoner of Azkaban.
11. Favourite Film?
The Order of the Phoenix. I've watched this time and time again and it's always my go-to Harry Potter film.
The Chamber of Secrets. I don't hate it but I'd never ever choose to watch it.
13. Favourite Character?
Ron Weasley is 100% my favourite. I find him so amusing at times.
14. Least Favourite/Most Hated Character?
Of course it has to be Umbridge. I think a lot of people would agree?
15. Favourite Teacher At Hogwarts?
Hagrid holds a very special place in my heart. He's the type of teacher I'd love to be friends with.
16. Least Favourite Teacher At Hogwarts?
I find Trelawney I bit creepy?
17. Do You Have Any Unpopular Opinions About The Series?
I'm not sure this is unpopular, but I think Harry is a little bit overrated? I feel the same with Frodo from LOTR. Also I absolutely HATE the way they did Voldemort's death in the film. It's so different from the book and really takes away the satisfaction of how he dies.
