Quiet start to the day, today, I must say. Maybe I became a poet overnight. 😀

Yesterday's luncheon was a beautiful thing. It was a refreshing visit, with no tension that I was aware of. Although we might not be like-minded on all subjects, it was still a few hours of wit and laughter and some memories in common.

And our Thursday started with coffee and … you guessed it… more food. 😋 I put a package of bacon in the oven and went out to check on sweet old Zippy, our only boarder at the moment.

This is a recurring theme at our house. Almost every night at about 11, I count the cats and if Sam is outdoors, I let him into the kennel building. And nearly every morning at 6:30 or 7, Sam is sitting outside on the back step or the front deck.

Sam greets us with a squeak or meow, pushes his head against Mica, then runs to the door of the Pet Hostel to be let back in! The only way this big guy is getting out, would be through an "occupied" dog run. Unless it's inclement weather, there is usually some open doggy door to choose.

I dread the day that Sam jumps in with the wrong dog. In the meantime, Sam is living his best catty life.

Morning nap after a night of sneaking around like a cat.
Gary is usually served a hearty breakfast.
My keto breakfast. Delicious, if I may say.

On the schedule today is only one small dog, a regular client, "Buffy". She is a "Mi-Ki", a hybrid pet, a toy breed. Buffy is sweet and sensitive, though snarky for her nails and trimming her face.

Hope your day is full of good things.
