Addressing your pet's behavioral problem — which can be done through analysis and treatment — can save his life. Are you wondering why your kitty tends to attack you as well as other animals?
When an indoor cat attacks your ankle, chances are she's frustrated as there is no prey (like birds) to chase around. Kittens may become aggressive when you use your feet or hands when playing with them because these gestures mimic a prey.
To solve this, provide more vertical spaces in your house, so your cat will no longer need to compete with the others. Give her some vigorous games, too, like chasing a laser beam or ping-pong to make her less bored and more physically active. When your kitten nips you, push into the bite to tell her "no bite." And if your cat tends to get aggressive during grooming times, reward her whenever she acts otherwise.
