Morelands Copse Camping offers off-grid camping and charming glamping accommodation near Fisher's Pond. Set in a gorgeous setting in glorious ancient, coppiced woodland, we are in the ideal location for escaping the pressures of modern life. You can explore the natural beauty of the South Downs National Park or visit a range of attractions in Hampshire.
We are a haven for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. Our tranquil site is surrounded by magical local wildlife, with lots of different species dotted around. We actively encourage you to switch off your devices, ensuring an authentic camping experience.
Several options to camp are available, with facilities designed to give you a memorable rustic experience. We do not offer mains electricity, meaning hook-up is unavailable and lighting is limited to solar-powered lights, ensuring the evenings are perfect for stargazing. You have access to the relaxing communal garden, willow archway picnic area and woods. We offer space for tents of all sizes and shapes.
Facilities onsite include running water, toilets, covered seating areas, firepits, fuel and our honesty shop. A local business, The Cup and Saucer, can deliver an array of lovely afternoon teas, breakfasts and brunches for order. Access to the kitchen area is exclusive to hut rental and is a shared space between the 3 huts.
We also provide wonderful glamping accommodation in our two shepherd huts, Kez's Boutique Hut and George's Hut. Our boutique hut is perfect for a romantic getaway in a scenic setting, offering spectacular views of the countryside. Just outside the door, there are delightful garden areas and inside there is a brand-new double memory foam mattress and hot water bottles under the bed. A separate toilet is available which is shared with campers.
George's hut boasts a toasty wood burner for those chilly days and offers access to our newly built outdoor kitchen. The hut has been recently refurbished and includes a brand-new memory foam double mattress for a restful night's sleep.
The Pig Den offers truly quirky accommodation, renovated from a hut that was used by the charity's pigs. The hut is perched on a platform and offers plenty of shelter from the worst weather. Inside there is a brand-new memory foam single built-in bed that turns into a twin. Outside there is a seating and a dining area, offering a great space for breakfast whilst admiring your surroundings.
We are just a 12-minute walk to Marwell Zoological Park, home to a range of endangered species. Nearby is a fabulous fish and chip shop, whilst The Ship Inn, The Fishers Pond and The Fox and Hounds are close by as well. You can visit the historic city of Winchester, famous for its medieval cathedral. History fans should also visit the majestic ruins of Wolvesey Castle and Winchester City Mill, a working 18th-Century corn mill.
