Polean Farm Cottages offers outstanding self-catering accommodation just outside of the village of Pelynt in Cornwall. Set amongst rolling farmland and less than 2 miles from the sea, we are perfect for an idyllic holiday.
Our 18th Century barns have been beautifully renovated to offer high-quality and spacious accommodation. We also provide dog training holidays. Stay with us for a week and get 3 hours of free dog training for up to 2 dogs. The training sessions will include tricks, general obedience, social manners such as greeting people without jumping up, walking together off the lead and general recall.
The Mealhouse: We offer superb accommodation in our one-bedroom property which was originally used to store the feed or 'meal' for the pigs that resided in the pig sty. The property still maintains many original features, including exposed stone walls and old wooden beams. The cottage also enjoys glorious views across the farmland.
You can unwind in the cosy lounge which comes with an LCD TV, DVD player and an electric coal fire. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of excellent appliances: oven, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a fridge with a small freezer box. The cottage has an attractive double bedroom with vaulted and beamed ceilings. Off the bedroom is a shower room and WC.
Rosebud Cottage: Our charming beamed cottage is well appointed and brimming with character. Gorgeous original features include exposed stone walls, a split barn door and a double upstairs opening that was once used to load the hay to and from the horse-drawn wagons. A relaxing sitting room comes with a slate floor, wood-burning stove and doors which open onto a private patio with seating. Facilities include a 42'' LCD TV and a DVD player. A well-equipped kitchen has a large dining table, large fridge and a large freezer, plus a dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster and an oven.
On the first floor, there is a large double bedroom with a king-size bed with en suite facilities. A twin room is also available. The cottage enjoys breathtaking views of the countryside.
Waggoners: This delightful ground-level cottage comes with its own patio and garden to the rear. Lovely original features include exposed stone walls. The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room has a vaulted, beamed ceiling, a wood-burning stove, brown leather furniture, a 42'' LCD TV and a DVD player. A well-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, oven and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. A double bedroom comes with a king-size bed and a separate twin bed, plus a bathroom/WC.
All our guests have access to an indoor heated swimming pool which is just a few minutes from the farm. At the farm, we have lots of wonderful facilities for children, including an outdoor playground, indoor activities, a games room and pony rides. Children can also enjoy feeding our animals.
