Sunny Hill Camp Site in Riding Gate offers wonderful glamping accommodation. Our charming campsite near Wincanton is perfect for a tranquil and relaxing break in rural Somerset.
Our picturesque campsite offers fantastic glamping accommodation in a spectacular countryside setting. You can choose from bell tents and yurts which sleep between 2 and 6 guests.
All the yurts boast outstanding views of Alfreds Tower and enjoy a relaxed, bohemian atmosphere. Facilities include beds with linen and towels, a kettle, a small fridge log burner and firepits outside. Guests have use of kitchenette facilities and a small kitchenette, plus an outdoor sink (shared).
The magical bell tents are perfect for the ultimate break in the country. They all come with bedding, towels, tea/coffee/sugar, a mini fridge, mirror, coffee table, and light and electric sockets. Outside there is a fire pit, great for huddling around whilst toasting marshmallows under the night sky.
We also offer spacious camping pitches for any size of tent, including non-electric grass pitches and pitches with electric hookups.
Non-pet-friendly accommodation is available in a Gypsy Wagon and Shepherd's Hut – please enquire for details.
We are in the perfect location for exploring the area, with Wincanton Racecourse only a 10-minute drive away. There are lots of brilliant fishing spots in the area, including ones at Shearwater Lakes, Todbur Manor, Coking Farm and Higher Farm. Brilliant attractions to visit while staying with us include:
