The diversity of places to visit in the capital of the Argentine Republic is such that it would be almost impossible to visit them all in a few days, which is why we have devised this Top 10 of the best places to visit in Buenos Aires.

On this list, we have included places of historical and political importance, monuments, theatres, cultural centres, shopping centres and recreation areas so that tourists who visit Buenos Aires can choose the sites they want to visit without missing any of the must-see sites.

Obelisk

It is located in the Plaza de la República, at the intersection of Avenida 9 de Julio and Corrientes. It has a total of 67 meters in height and each of its faces recalls a Buenos Aires historical event: the first foundation, in 1536; the second and final, in 1580; the first time the national flag was hoisted in the city, in 1812 (in the church of San Nicolás, which stood precisely where the Obelisk is today); and the constitution of Buenos Aires as the Argentine capital in 1880.
