It is a new year which means that it is time to reflect on the past year and to think ahead. What goals do we want to achieve in the next 12 months? What will change for us over the next 12 months? What is something we are looking forward to in the year ahead?
For me, one of the things I want to achieve this year is to create a solid writing routine. I want to be able to post consistently all year on this blog, interact with you guys a bit more and with the wider vegan community, and also work on some of my own personal writing projects.
But it is all good having a goal, but having a plan is what really moves that goal into action. There are multiple things you can do to achieve a goal but for me, I find the best way for me to stick to my goals is to create the routine and the habit around it. So to start with, I have blocked out three lunch breaks a week where I will do at least one hour of solid writing, be it for the blog or for my creative writing projects. The writing doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be on paper (or computer!) so I can refine it later.
