Anfodd Countryside Retreats in Blaenwaun offers luxurious self catering accommodation in a newly refurbished cottage. Set in spectacular scenery on a charming six-acre smallholding in Carmarthenshire, we are perfect for an unforgettable holiday.
We are the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life, great for a romantic getaway, special celebration or countryside retreat. The cottage is set deep in the South West Wales countryside, amidst acres of glorious farmland which you are welcome to explore. Our idyllic rural cottage is beautifully furnished and boasts a delightful garden, a lavish hot tub and carefully selected hampers of locally sourced produce to enjoy.
Inside our charming cottage are a range of wonderful features, including exposed beams and vaulted ceilings, combined with modern facilities. The cottage sleeps 4 people and comes with a cosy open plan living room with a TV, comfy seating and a toasty wood burner for those chilly days. Rustle up some delicious meals in the fully-equipped kitchen which has a range of appliances, including a dishwasher. Enjoy some delicious meals around the dining table whilst enjoying views of the newly planted orchard and growing beds.
Along the hallway there is a fabulous bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed and crisp white linen. The second bedroom can be made as a twin or double. Both rooms share a stunning bathroom with a gorgeous walk-in rainfall shower, elegant porcelain tiles and underfloor heating.
Outside there is a private garden with a patio area, great for a morning coffee whilst admiring your surroundings. There is also a terraced area with a dining table and brick-built BBQ for al fresco dining whilst the sun is shining. You can soak away your troubles in the luxurious hot tub whilst enjoying a glass of bubbly.
We also provide a range of fantastic hampers, including cooked breakfasts, BBQs, Sunday lunches and homemade pizzas – please enquire for details. You can also enjoy some home-baked break and cake.
The nearby towns of Whitland and St Clears are within easy reach and offer a range of shops. Carmarthen and Narberth are also just a short drive away and offer a wider range of shops to browse. Whitland has a train station connecting to Milford Haven, Fishguard and Pembroke Dock, as well as east towards Llanelli, Swansea and bustling Cardiff. Within half an hour you can also be at the coast, great for beach lovera. Brilliant attractions to visit include:
