Ben, Jerry. and Tiramisu went to their forever homes on Sunday. Ben and Jerry went to a home together, and Tiramisu went to a home where she will have an eight month-old kitten sister. I was very pleased with both of the homes, and I suspect the kittens will have wonderful lives.
Because nature abhors a vacuum, or at least my foster rooms do, three more cats came in to fill the spots Sunday and today, Monday.
Joining Abigail is Ember, a cat left behind and outside when her people moved. She's pretty scared, not at all suited to be an outdoor cat, and will need a little more time to relax, but she seems like a sweet girl. She has a vet appointment on Wednesday morning to get checked out. She is hanging in the 6 foot, 3 story cage for now, since she hasn't been tested or vaccinated. I cover it with a king sized sheet so she can relax a bit, and she and Abigail will get to know each other slowly and safely.
She's very sweet, if rather shy at first, but will make someone a lovely companion.

My two other kitties, in their own room, may have some ringworm, so their room is rather stark for now. Very little cloth of any sort, and only things I can clean easily. They actually arrived here about three weeks ago from another rescue, and because we didn't have a spot to isolate them at the time, they had to go back. But I have a free room now, so they're here again. The other rescue can't afford vet care at the level that we can, so they've just been putting topical fungicide on the lesions, which look like they may be pretty well gone. Not really sure. We have a vet check for them tomorrow and will see what the vet thinks. They just arrived late today and because they are lovebugs and want to rub all over me, I can't hang with them too much just yet, so I will show you their photos from the other rescue.
Lisa
Wendy
They're about five months old and Wendy, in particular, has a most unusual look. I suspect they will get adopted quickly when ready.
Marley and I head out on vacation in about 3 1/2 weeks, so hoping Wendy and Lisa will be able to be adopted before then, and a friend will care for Abigail if needed, and our petsitter, Marley's son, who will be staying here, can care for Enber if need be. Abigail. by the waiy, is doing better. Her upper respiratory stuff has improved a lot, though she's still not eating on her own too much...a little...not enough. So still force feeding, but I hope that once she gets off the antibiotic (Thursday, paws crossed) she might feel more like eating. Her legs seem to have really healed up and she has no trouble getting up on the smaller cat tree now, and she can run and play with the cat dancer. She has an appointment with a cat groomer in a couple weeks so we can get her mats under control, and let her be as stunning as she can be! She's going in to the vet next week to start getting her vaccinations and testing, and she gets spayed right after we return from vacation, and hopefully, will find her perfect home then. She's an outrageous lovebug.

That's the story at kitty rescue central. I hope you all have a good week.
