The Old Inn is a free house pub set on the shores of Loch Harport. Popular with locals as well as tourists and hill walkers, The Old Inn offers a warm highland welcome to all including dogs. CAMRA recommended, the real ales flow and award winning food is freshly prepared and served.
Our highly trained chef's create highland dishes with local fish, meat and produce used in abundance.
Our kitchen is open for all to enjoy from breakfast (7.45am till 9.30am) to lunches and dinners all day every day from noon.
We have spectacular views of the loch and the Cuillin Hills and a shore hugging patio to take it all in. Live highland entertainment is on the menu most weekends providing the perfect setting for a relaxing evening, after a tough day on the mountains or a tour around the island.
In our Lodge, The Old Inn provides bed and breakfast accommodation in our modern ensuite rooms. Each has views of the loch, ensuite shower and toilet, Sky TV, hair dryer and tea/coffee facilities. Also there is a drying room for your convenience. We offer single, double and twin rooms and also the option of triple rooms with the aid of pull out couches.
We also have our bed and breakfast family chalet which has bunks and a double bed with fantastic views. There is a bath as well as a shower and toilet and also has Sky TV, a hair dryer and tea/coffee facilities.
For your convenience The Old Inn also offers packed lunches and food all day every day as required.
We our proud to introduce our very popular bunkhouse situated next to The Old Inn. Housing 24 persons The Waterfront Bunkhouse is fully equipped with showers, toilets, a laundry/drying room, a complete communal kitchen, internet access and a balcony looking out on the loch and beyond. A perfect choice for visitors on a bit more of a budget.
With the bonus of The Old Inn next door, all guests have great food, highland entertainment and a free house pub at their disposal. The Old Inn even provides breakfast and packed lunches as well as food all day every day!
We have two rooms of six beds and three rooms of four beds, one of these being ensuite. It is possible to book everything from a single bed to a room exclusively for your party. If you are a larger group or club why not book the entire bunkhouse for your stay. A home away from home!
The Old Inn & Waterfront Bunkhouse is located in the small hamlet of Carbost on the south west of the Isle of Skye. A perfect place to call home during your visit. The Cuillin hills are close by and the rest of the island's beaches, towns and sights within easy reach.
Carbost also is host to the famed Talisker whisky distillery, a must visit on any agenda and also Loch Harport has its own oyster farm, Isle of Skye Oysters.
