Last night's small dinner party for Gary's birthday was a cosy affair, and lovely. We had cheese-salami-crackers, barbecued salmon, home baked beans, rice pilaf, broccoli, coleslaw.
The delicious salmon, a gift from other friends, was an "accidental success". I turned on the propane barbecue, ignored it until I realized it was 600°, threw the large seasoned fish onto a length of foil atop the grate. Then I closed the lid, turned the burners down, and busied myself with other things.
In 25 minutes, that big filet was cooked through, with crispy skin and juicy meat. The barbecue was back down to 425° which is what Google said the salmon should be cooked at.
Our beautiful young friend made a horsey cake, and that was a hit too.
The Pet Hostel has quite a few guests, but they all seem pretty happy and well. Darby went home last night, and we still have Duke & Lady, Aurora & Jake, Cash, Gypsy, Shiloh, Bayvill, Sophie, and Spike. Just a comfortable, sweet lot.

Darby got a bath at owner's request.

Cash is allowed group play, at owner's request
It's another gorgeous day. The roofers are finished roofing. The care of dogs and the gardens is calling and I must go!
Hope your day is safe and fulfilling.
