Borrobol Cottages comprises two delightful cottages nestled on a charming estate, alongside the tranquil River Helmsdale in the scenic Strath of Kildonan. Our cottages offer a peaceful retreat with the added privilege of rowing boats and exclusive trout fishing on a private loch.
Gardener's House, accommodating up to 6 guests, features a comfortable layout with one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. The cottage boasts a family bathroom with a shower downstairs, and a second lavatory upstairs. All beds are adorned with luxurious pure cotton bedding, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
The eat-in kitchen is well-equipped, featuring a convenient washer/dryer machine, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, and fridge/freezer. After a day of exploring, unwind in the cosy sitting room, complete with a traditional log fire. Logs will be provided for the duration of your stay, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. For your entertainment, a TV/DVD player and Wi-Fi connection are available. We happily welcome dogs, ensuring that your furry companions can also enjoy their stay.
Crocdhu Cottage is a self catering cottage accommodating up to 4 guests. The cottage offers one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both adorned with pure cotton bedding. A family bathroom with a shower adds to the convenience and comfort of your stay.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped, boasting a washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The cosy sitting room features a log-burning stove and large windows that provide breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Logs are thoughtfully provided for your comfort. A small dining room adjacent to the sitting room offers a charming space for meals and gatherings. Like its counterpart, Crocdhu Cottage includes a TV/DVD player and Wi-Fi connection. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome to join you on your stay.
Both cottages offer a unique experience, granting you access to a boat for serene excursions on Loch Ascaig, as well as seasonal trout fishing. Additionally, a canoe and kayak are available for your enjoyment.
For larger parties of up to 10 guests, the option to rent both cottages together is available.
