My own thoughts on how to fix an end of line hernia are - - because what was the umbilical cord inside the belly button is detached it spreads poison. However: It does not absolutely necessarily require to be attached to anything, after all it was only stopped from leaking while it was attached to the belly button, with the belly button acting as the stop. Therefore: It can be stopped again with a plug and left where it is. That would serve the same purpose exactly. A nice little earner for people making plugs. Ha ha. Catch it early and problem solved.
