Knox Vintage Pet Project asked us to sponsor basic vetting (spay/neuter, senior blood work, vaccines, microchips, etc.) for nine new intakes, as follows:
CC was surrendered by her owner, who would be classified as a "back yard breeder."
Nine-year-old, Cookie and Star, were being "retired" from their breeder. They weren't in very good shape and needed quite a bit of vet services.
Juno, pulled from Sevier Co. Animal Care Center, was part of a hoarding case of beagle-type dogs.
Millie and Freda, pulled from Sullivan County, were part of a hoarding case of dogs found living in a car. They both needed mange treatment.
Eloise, Margot, and Elode were surrendered by their owner who had used the dogs for breeding in a nasty outdoor pen. The dogs were in such bad shape they had to be sedated to be shaved.
