OMG, I love Saturday when there's the expectation of getting to Dunster Market. I try to arrange Pet Hostel business to allow for my break to visit with friends at my old "stomping grounds". Perhaps I'll be able to go with Shelly!
It hasn't been possible or advisable to play hooky every Saturday this summer. I did get there a couple of times and was told I looked tired.
Today, we have Casey, Harley & Cooper, Juno, Piper, Frodo and Buster. I might bath a couple of those before they go home. Am not tired now.
At this point, the doggy bathtub has a wheelbarrow full of corn in it. I will clean each ear and blanch for freezing … not sure that I have the patience to slice all the kernels off. But then I am certain we don't have the freezer space if I don't.

Gary is feeling pretty well after several days post surgery. I told him he will know my wrath if he overdoes it and hurts himself.
Last night he called out to me, "You aren't doing the dishes are you? I was gonna do them!" I replied that he was still on light duty and not to worry about it. And then he laughed and quipped., "Hehe … I've already vacuumed twice."
Scallywag!
He claims that he will stop "if it hurts"; I say that by the time you feel more pain, you've already done damage. This is the word according to Dr. Ann.
I'm reluctant to criticize or discourage any man from doing vacuuming or dishes.
Sandra James, at it again: her lovely photography
It's a beautiful day in the 'hood (apologies to Mr. Rogers). It had been pretty chill, even frosty in the mornings, making it seem that we had skipped our typically wonderful autumn.
To get to this point in the year and realize we had very few mosquitoes, now that is special! Usually the tiny blighters make at least part of the summer miserable.
We have so much to be grateful for, and most days, we don't forget. If only we could save the rest of the world.
Hope your day is grand or at least contains some measure of things to be grateful for.
~ Ann
