Yesterday was as straightforward as a day can be.
Our minds were focussed on my cardiologist appointment, and we left later in the day than, say, a shopping excursion would have required.
We stopped at the Ancient Forest for a picnic lunch. It was a grey day, a bit chilly, but that stop in itself seemed like a "date".
Upon reaching Prince George well ahead of my appointment time, we looked at some new cars. Not saying we will buy one, but in our many years together, Gary and I had never been on a car dealer's lot.
We did
this much shopping: I bought four dandy dog blankets at the Jysk store. Does it make sense to invest in more pet bedding so soon before retirement? I don't care. I can throw away or donate some tattered ones and have several matching ones that have proved to be less easily chewed.
Then:
The doctor was blunt and businesslike. If I'd wanted someone to banter with or impress with my friendly chatter, I'd be disappointed. But I had been warned, had been told she could seem cold. This specialist didn't have any bad news, however: she explained the steps we would take to learn more about my heart.
So … a brief exam and consultation.
Then Gary and I went out for a second lunch or early supper and headed home!
Hope your day was pleasant enough, and today will be even better.
Love, Ann
