The great cleanup happened yesterday. It took six hours with both Marley and me working on it, and there is more to do still. The room itself and everything still there is disinfected, but we moved a number of things, like carriers, litter boxes and so on to the front porch so we can bleach them, and we still need to get that piece done. But the room is clean and the kittens are free.
We did the room in pieces.
Stage 1:
We moved everything to the back part of the room and totally disinfected the open area and the bookshelves.
Stage 2:
We cleaned some of the stuff we'd moved and once clean, put it in the clean part of the room, and worked on the middle part. Then stage three we finished up the back of the room. Everything...everything got disinfected. Tired bodies and backs at the end of the day, but the kittens are delighted to be sprung from jail.
Got a few pictures today as I start to work on their portraits and bios so they can be posted as ready for adoption soon. And discovered the Lila, our little dumpster kitten, seems to like heights. Can't keep her off the top of the ferret cages now!
So, just a few photos to leave you saying "awwww!" More to come.

Have a good week everyone!
