It has been a long haul keeping the kittens all in jail, aka quarantine. Until yesterday Jill and Lila were in their own cages, as well as Goose. The trio has been together since they arrived here so there was no point in separating them when the virus hit, so they were the lucky ones. They had companionship at least. With quarantine ending, Lila and Jill are now hanging together. And in the best news, Goose got adopted today, sprung from his jail cell to a wonderful family that is already head over heels for him.
Here's the view I've had for the last couple weeks:
Jill and Lila together as of yesterday finally.

Goose had his own cage too, but he's off to his new home, so no photo this evening.
Tomorrow (Saturday) we clean the room. We need to disinfect everything, and I mean everything, and I don't know if we can complete it in one day, but we're going to try. If we can get the room totally disinfected the kittens can come out to play. Everyone has also had their second distemper shot, which is very good protection against any lingering virus.
It's been a long two weeks having to gown and glove for each of the three cages individually three times a day, but the reward has been that no one else got sick, so it was worth it. I'm hoping it stays that way since Marley and I leave on vacation in two weeks, and I don't want our house/pet sitter to have any adventures. If there are some, we're driving distance away, but we are really looking forward to a week away.
Time to get Gracie out for her evening potty break, and then to bed for both of us. Tomorrow is going to be a long day, but if we're lucky, maybe life gets back to something closer to normal after that. Paws crossed.
